About the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution

The Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution (WMCI) is specifically designed to serve as the main intake and assessment center for male inmates not sentenced to death. It serves as a primary education and treatment center for inmates identified as requiring high levels of medical, mental health, dental, life skills, cognitive/behavioral, and/or sex offender treatment services. WMCI also houses a small population of medium custody female inmates.
